Making homemade slime is a fun and easy activity that you can do at home with your kids. One way to make slime is by using shampoo. Here’s a simple recipe for making slime using shampoo:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of shampoo ( any brand and scent)
  • 1/2 cup of cornstarch
  • Food colouring (optional)
  • Glitter (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shampoo and cornstarch. Mix well until a thick, dough-like consistency is formed.
  2. Add food colouring and glitter, if desired, and mix until well combined.
  3. Knead the slime with your hands for a few minutes to make sure it’s well-mixed and has a smooth texture.
  4. If the slime is too sticky, add more cornstarch a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached. If it’s too dry, add a small amount of shampoo and knead again.
  5. Store the slime in an airtight container when not in use to keep it from drying out.
  6. Have fun! You can stretch it, knead it, squeeze it, and mould it into different shapes. It’s a great sensory play material for kids.

Note:

  • Be aware that not all shampoo will work, some shampoo may not give the right consistency or may not make slime at all, It’s best to use a shampoo that is not too thick or creamy and avoid using dandruff shampoo or any shampoo that contain mousse or conditioner.
  • Keep the slime away from eyes and mouth, and wash your hands thoroughly after playing with it.
  • It’s best to supervise children when they are playing with the slime.

Enjoy making your own homemade shampoo slime with your kids, it’s a fun and easy activity that everyone can enjoy.
