You Got This, Mum! Navigating the School Holidays with 2 Kids and a Growing Belly

As a pregnant mum with two kids, the school holidays can be both exciting and overwhelming. On one hand, it’s great to have some extra time with the kids and make memories together. On the other hand, it can be a challenge to come up with activities that will keep the kids entertained and engaged for the entire break, especially with a growing belly. But fear not, you got this, mum! With a little bit of planning and preparation, you can navigate the school holidays with ease and make the most out of this special time.

One of the key things to remember is to set realistic expectations. It’s important to understand that you may not be able to do as much as you would like, and that’s okay. It’s better to have a few well-planned and enjoyable activities than to try to cram in too much and end up feeling stressed and exhausted.

Another tip is to involve your kids in the planning process. Ask them what activities they would like to do and make an effort to incorporate their ideas into the schedule. This not only makes them feel included and valued, but it also helps to ensure that they will be engaged and excited about the activities.

When it comes to activities, there are plenty of options available, both indoors and outdoors. Indoor activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, and movie days are great options for hot or rainy days. Outdoor activities like visiting local parks and gardens, going for a picnic, or having a backyard water fight are perfect for sunny days.

It’s also important to schedule some downtime for yourself. As a pregnant mum, it’s essential to take care of your physical and emotional well-being. Whether it’s taking a nap, reading a book, or having a relaxing bath, make sure to schedule some time for yourself each day to recharge and refresh.

Finally, don’t forget to have fun! The school holidays are a special time to make memories with your kids, and even though it may be challenging at times, with the right mindset and planning, you can make the most out of this time. Remember, you got this, mum!

Love to hear about your experiences with kids and to be pregnant we in this together and can support one another through this process.
